I used "Bootable Rescue Media Builder" to have an USB pendrive I can use just in case of Hard Disk problems in restoring image.
Pendrive is a Kingston 2GB (actually 2 of them). I used the wizard to build rescue media and process ended successfully, but when I try to boot using my pendrive I get an error saying something like "Invalid or damaged bootable partition".
Now, I'm pretty sure I had used same process and been able to boot without errors. I can remember I had bought 2GB pendrive cause it was impossible getting the wizard working with a 8GB pandrive I had.
What's the problem now? Why pendrive I used stopped working? Please note that it was stored in a drawer and never reused and my PC is totally unchanged.
I tried with 2 different pendrives and two different PCs obtaining same error. Tried rebulding the process on both pendrives, the process ends successfully, but no way. What's happening?
Many thanks in advance for your advices

I assume you made sure that the computer was actually trying to boot from the flashdrive?

Alternate methods of booting Acronis programs from flashdrives can be found here:
Create a Bootable Flashdrive Using Vista's DISKPART Program (http://www.themudcrab.com/acronis_diskpart.php)
Create a Bootable Flashdrive Using Grub4DOS (http://www.themudcrab.com/acronis_grub4dos.php)

First of all thank you very much and sorry for the delay.
I succeded in building boot pendrive using empty image provided, but I still have problems.
I can boot and get a blue screen with Acronis logo, then a black screen telling "Acronis loader, please wait..." (or something like this). Then the screen turns to total black and my PC hangs, and the only way to have it working is a total reset.
Sometimes I'm a bit "luckier" and I can reach the screen in wich I'm invited to choose the image file. Unfortunately when I try to open the directory where images are stores (or any other directory), again PC hangs and I have to reset.
Tried with both pendrives and two PCs (laptop and notebook) and the problem is the same.
Any idea?
Thanks a lot in advance

Do you get the Acronis menu (where you can select to boot into the Full Mode or Safe Mode versions)?

If it's the Full Mode version that's having problems starting, does the Safe Mode version start okay?

If the flashdrive is booting to where the Acronis loader is running, the flashdrive is setup and booting properly.

The Full Mode version of DD is based on Linux and hasn't been updated in quite some time. You may need an updated build from Acronis Support. You're also talking about an image file and restoring. Are you trying to run TI and not DD? In either case, the troubleshooting steps are the same.

No it hangs after showing "Booting Acronis loader, please wait..."

I can't try. Only very one o two times I reached the file menu and it was Full Mode version.

Yes I think so. On my laptop pendrive works properly.

Yes.You're right I'm trying TI.

Anyway thanks a lot for your interest in my problem. I don't know why I can't get boot pendrive running on my desktop PC. I think I'll quit and use only (slower) boot CD that has no problem.

Have a nice day
