boot up with errors & cannnot fully uninstall or now reinstall eset from sp 2 I suppose I need answers this is mth end for me...

thanks I already went with unistalling the SP2 but that didn't work so did the safe mode start up deleted the folder & used a registry cleaner & it looks good will not install ESS but curious if the av is fine to use till they get a fix...

What they are recommending here http://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN2254 is to go back to v3 until there is a fix.

If you're really unlucky you'll have to edit the registry fully. Just doing what listed in the kb article isn't always enough.
I had to delete every reference in the registry after ver 3 refused to come off.
A Utility like the one that Symantec have got would be useful. Save thirty minutes or more of editing the registry and changing permissions.

I had trouble with a partial uninstall until I manually set the eset service to disabled and rebooted. The eset service wouldn't disable though until I did the manual uninstall and rebooted.
