Hey everyone, for some reason I have trouble connecting to my home network when the firewall is turned on. If I turn the firewall off, I connect fine and if I turn it back on I stay connected for a long time. But I guess if I disconnect at any point (intentionally or unintentionally), I have to disable the firewall again for it to reconnect.

I didn't really change any settings except a couple of the default firewall rules. I have a feeling that I messed something up but other then this, I have everything set up the way I like it and I don't really want to have to reinstall it to set the default firewall rules. I'm using Policy-based mode.

Anyone have any ideas why this could be happening? Any help is appreciated!

In order to be precise one will need to check your firewall configuration and machine setup . Because of the policy-based mode and because of the fact you say you have changed some default rules there might be problem.

Restore the firewall's default settings:

Make sure your home network is set to be in the Trusted zone (Allow sharing mode) . Don't change the default settings . Try using Interactive mode should it be necessary.

The very same thing happened to me this morning. Hadn't changed a thing but somehow my home network ended up as an untrusted zone.... weird...
