I'll have to load that up again. I haven't played it in a long time.
My current favorite games:
1. X-COM UFO DEFENSE. A genuine classic. Runs well in "DOSBOX".
Primitive graphics but excellent game play. Turn based strategy.:thumb:
2. Unreal Tournament 2004. Mindless mayhem blowing up bad guys.
Lots of MODS, Maps Etc. available from a HUGE fan base.
I really like the ONSLAUGHT maps. :thumb:
3. F.E.A.R. Original. Spooky First person shooter. Good graphics.:thumb:
4. Far Cry Original. Nice graphics for an older title. Good game play.:thumb:
5. The Sims Original Complete collection. For when I'm feeling constructive. ;)
In the "Real" World I like to tinker with old air cooled Volkswagen's.
I'm not sure if that qualifies as a time waster though because they
serve a useful function when they're in proper working order. 8)

Indeed it is. I play it as a "Filler" after I've finished playing a First person shooter
just to refresh myself. ;)
It's a very cool game and it fits all neat an tidy on three floppy discs.
I also have the "Win 98" freeware version but couldn't get it to work with
WIN XP PRO. The music wasn't as good with that version anyway.
Like I said the DOS version works fine in "DOSBOX" even though it's annoying
to have to enter the "Secret code" every time you launch it.
Great game!

After so many years of playing the same game, you would think you'd get sick of it. Not so. There's a good reason why professional Starcraft players currently get paid a salary of up to 200,000 US dollars per year, not including tournament winnings.
I find I am still improving my game play after so many years and after several thousand games. It's become more of a cyber-"sport", rather than simply a computer game. It's never too late to pick it up! Gogogo. 1a2a3a4a5a6a7a8a9a0a. GG." }-
Please don't encourage me, ssj100 :) . I'm currently a quite rubbish (by your own epic standards) 80 hours into Fallout 3 and thought I was doing really well until I just bumped into this post again. 30,000 hours? That's something monumental. That's nearly four whole years, assuming you play 24 hours a day, so even if you play 8 hours a day that's twelve years! Sir, I salute you! :thumb:

-{ Quote: "Yes mate, that's what happens when one has some time up one's sleeve. To give you a better idea as to how much I've played Starcraft (and still continue to play), I've played about 10,000 traditional games (multi-player online) in my career so far (haha!). I've won about 7500 games and lost about 2500. Each game lasts on average 10-15 minutes.
Of course, I also played the campaigns of Starcraft and Brood War. It probably took me about 200 hours of total gaming time to complete all the campaigns.
Then there has been the training process. Before I got competitive online (Bnet), I played probably 100 games via LAN with my friends, each game lasting 10-15 minutes.
Then there has been non-traditional Starcraft games (Use Map Settings). I've probably played about 2000 of these games, each lasting at least 15 minutes on average.
Then there has been pro-replay analysis (playing through replays of my replays and also of professional gamers as well as non-professional...mostly professional though). This is the hardest one to estimate, in terms of the number of hours spent. I've probably gone through over 1500 professional replays and maybe a few hundred of my own replays as well as others. Each replay takes about 10 minutes on average to go through.
So, the total time would be estimated as follows (in minutes):
Traditional: 125,000
Campaigns: 12,000
Training: 1250
Non traditional: 30,000
Replay analysis: 20,000
TOTAL: 188,250 minutes = 3137.5 hours
So there you have it. I've probably spent just over 3000 hours on playing Starcraft over the period of 1998-1999 (I played the campaigns then, and quit the game, thinking the multi-player wasn't that worthwhile) and 2004 to 2009 (mostly multi-player online, inspired by curiosity as to why there are human beings being paid 200,000 US dollars per year playing this computer game)." }-
woow that's a lot, :argh: I am wondering what will happen if you have played that many rounds of slg games like HOMM, man.;)

Ok, Ance, i 've let it go , but you 're overdoing it.
1) Nobody new can beat a level 21 brute.
2) All you want from Wilder's members is to fight your brute, so that they will startout as your brute's students and so you gain experience point each time their brute levels up. So you 're shamelessly taking advantage of your fellow Wilders' members.
3) Your brute isn't even a good one! I don't know if you 've realized it, but it will never become a "top brute". You 're just wasting your time on him. He isn't getting any of the "rare" abilities.
If i were you, i 'd start over! C-a-r-a-t will NEVER be a top rank brute.
The skills of a new student, largely depend on the ones of the master. If you want a bear, find someone with a bear and become his student. You 'll get higher chances to get a bear yourself. At the same way, if you want the rare skills, you have better chances to get them from a master that has (or will have) those skills, rather from C-a-r-a-t who will NEVER have those skills. You may still get them as a student, with much luck, but chances are much slimmer compared when you become student of a master who has the skills.
Ance, i know you 've spent much time on C-a-r-a-t, but on high levels, he will be dead meat. Seriously. And you 're not just wasting your time, but you 're destroying fellow Wilders' members, because C-a-r-a-t isn't a good master.
C-a-r-a-t will have no immortal, no untouchable, no implaccable, no deluge, no hypnosis, no hammer, no survival. Have you any idea of how many other brutes will have C-a-r-a-t's skills? Well, MOST OF THEM!
He will be maybe a decent brute, but nothing above average.
CHANGE HIM and STOP LURING Wilders' members in their own doom just to gain experience points.! ;D
Drop C-a-r-a-t and START OVER! Better at level 21 than at level 100!
