Been running the Chromium nightly builds since last months, so I've been enjoying these features for awhile now. Chromium itself has been bumped up to version 3, and it continues to smoke every other browser in terms of raw speed.

Don't forget that all browsers are gaining speed.
opera 10 is alot faster than 9.64.
I haven't tried Firefox 3.5 but ive heard its quite alot faster than 3.
IE8 is faster than IE7 but opening new tabs is still slow.

Running the latest nightly builds for Minefield, WebKit, Chromium and the Opera 10 alpha here. The differences aren't exactly earth-shattering, but Chromium is noticeably the fastest one among them.

go to task scheduler in control panel. open up the google updator task and adjust how often it runs.
You may want to delete the autorun entrie otherwise a google process is always running for no reason..

Is Chromium better than Chrome or Iron....and does it have the same Google "privacy" issues?

I created a thread elsewhere about this, but if it"s OK I'd like to mention it here where the Chrome folks are hanging out. I installed Chrome yesterday and all is well except for one thing. I'm using XPsp3. IF I MAKE CHROME THE DEFAULT BROWSER, when I boot up the Welcome page during boot up stays up about twice as long, and when the Desktop appears the icons and taskbar don't appear for about 60 seconds, and then they finally appear and all is well. As soon as I remove default browser status booting up returns to normal. Has anyone encountered this or can you offer a reason why it is happening? Thanks in advance. :)

I installed the latest Chrome 2.0.172.33 on another machine and I noticed that there is no more unique ID in the Local State file, did they remove it!? :what:

The GoogleUpdateTask runs every hour but Chrome doesn't update :'( What's the reason for this behavior?
