View Full Version : Laptop increase brightness?

I have a HP Compaq nx5000 laptop, when some of my friends were using it,its brightness has become very low, i cant see anything esceptr very white objects on screen. i have used fn + f9/f10(sun button) for brightness,but of no use .I have new batteries and i am charging it now.How can it happen, is there any way to increase brigthness.

Hi raakii,
Go to control panel->Power option and change plan settings. I met this kind of bug.

Three things
1- Go in the control panel and power options and see if someone by mistake has set the brightness very low.
2- Go in the settings of your video card and see if the brightness is set at its normal level there.
3- Go in your BIOS and see the brightness is set correctly there.

I found that it was due to battery not fixing in slot making the laptop to go to no backlight mode.Removing an refixing solved the problem as of now but still the power up indicator is not glowing though the battery is charging.
