Adobe Reader SpeedUp

Thought this may be of use to somebody. :)

Just tried this on the PC at the house and found that it does
what it says. It's really a drag sometimes waiting for your PDF file to display.
Well wait no more, this thing shaved off aprox. 20 seconds for load time.

All's it does really is eliminate loading all the plugins and stuff that
never get used anyhow... within adobe reader.
You can easily set it back to original config. any time you wish.

Hi RJ100.. :)

Yep, just downloaded and I tried it, and it shaved off approx. 10 seconds from the moment I dropped a PDF onto the Icon to fully open.

Without: 28 seconds
With on: 18-19 seconds.

Note: Just a pointer. It unzips to a folder, and inside is and .exe which in turn extracts to another folder and the 'standalone' .exe with notes, etc. is in that one.

Upon use, you may be prompted a file is missing. There is a link to download vbruntimes. I had to do this, which I figured was a bit funny as I had already installed vbrun6 from MS only about 2 weeks ago... still....

Anyhow, when installing the vbruntime files, you may get an error message/s, which in the "ReadMe" txt file said to click on Ignore. I got two, as was trying to overwrite later files, ignored them, rebooted and all working fine.

That was just in case you experienced this problem, and was unsure. I gave it a shot and fine for me. ;)
