Hi, I have a complicated multi boot on my PC:
* Win95 or Win98 (I haven't choose yet, but not both, because it doesn't work)
* Win2000
* WinXP
* WinVista 32 bit
* WinVista 64 bit
* some Linux distros
How many licenses I have needed for legally use Nod32 Antivirus?
I suppose at least 2 (1 for Win and 1 for Linux).
PS: I'm Italian, I don't know if there's some difference between Italian and other language licenses.
Moreover, on Win95/98 I haven't Internet connection (modem driver doesn't support Win95/98 and I needn't Internet connection on these operating systems), on Win95/98 I will use version 2.70 (last Win95/98 supported) and on other Win I will use version 3.00 (last version, version 4 isn't available in Italian yet).
Can I update Nod32 (program and virus database) without Internet connection on Win95/98 and how?
On FAQ I read that I can, using the folder of Nod32 of the operative system with Internet connection, but itsn't say if it works with differnet version (3.00->2.70 and in future 4.00->2.70 and so on...).

Hello Ales,
If you are multi-booting different copies of Windows, then you can use the same license for each one. If you want to run the Linux version too, you will need a seperate license. Our product is specifically designed and licensed based on the operating system and the language supported.

Thanks for reply.
So, I need 2 license (1 for Win and 1 for Linux)?
Can I use the same license for Nod32 2.70 (Win9X) and Nod32 3.00 (Win2000, XP, Vista32/64)?

Yes, license doesn't restrict you to version.

You can only do this with the same versions of the software. So in your case, the only way to do this would be to run v2.7 on a system with an internet connection and then copy the folder over to the one without a connection.

Thanks for reply.
Does it works with different Win versions (same Nod32 version)?

Yes it does, the only thing that has to match up is the version of the ESET software.

Another question.
If now I buy a license for Nod32 Antivirus ver.4 in English for Windows, then when ver.4 will available in Italian, I can use same license for update from English to Italian version of NOD32 Antivirus for Win?

Hello,
ESET's licenses do not currently restrict you to downloading a specific language edition of the software.
