A friend is trying to shrink his Vista system drive using Vista's disk management. It has been partially successful, but the position of the immovable mft (master file table) is limiting how much shrinkage he can achieve.
If he used DD10 would this overcome this problem?

DD will shrink the partition much more than Vista's Disk Management. As far as I know, you can shrink it down to the amount of the used space. Because of how Disk Management works, you're doing good to be able to shrink the partition 50%.

Thanks for that. My own experience with DD10 made me believe that it would be able to do so, but wasn't certain.
