If your threat profile is high, IMHO, the more familiar "traditional" HIPs proggies (SSM, ProSecurity / RTM) will provide uber protection.
I find WP adequate here.

Winpatrol is a great program, especially the Plus version which gives access to the online database for identifying processes. I use Winpatrol mainly for auto-start and BHO management. It also shows running processes, services, installed ActiveX controls, etc. and provides a great overview of the system. It does alert for system changes, but I wouldn't rely on it for malware defense. For that you want something that will block and kill the malware. Use WP along with other security products.

i use Winpatrol Plus with Malware defender;) with this 2 you can get alot of info of what is running in your system:thumb:
