Unable to find OS on 2nd Hard Drive

I have 2 SATA Hard Drives

SATA #1 partitioned as:
2 GB FAT Partition that was only Windows 98 DOS
638 GB NTFS Partition with Windows XP

SATA #2 partitioned as:
50 MB FAT Partition with MS-DOS (Call me SYSTEM)
2 GB FAT Partition with MS-DOS (Call me IMAGE)
137 GB NTFS Partition with W2K
159 GB NTFS Partition just for storage, NO OS

I can see the 2 partitions on SATA #1 (W98 DOS & XP)
I can see the 2 DOS partitions on SATA #2 (SYSTEM & IMAGE)

I have been unable to get the OS Selector to recognize the W2K partition.

I know that SATA #2 W2K partition works because I can switch SATA #1 and #2 physically and the system will allow me to boot into the W2K partition.

I know I must be doing something wrong.

What build of DD/OSS are you using?

Is the W2K partition a Primary partition? Does it contain the W2K booting files or are they on one of the other partitions?

When you switch to the SATA #2 drive and boot into W2K, does it boot automatically or do you have a boot menu?

I have some classmates that are transfixed with w2k (because it doesn't need to be activated is definitely the main reason)-- but it still causes problems with boot loaders that should nullify its microsoft recommended order-- older os to newer os--, still w2k may only work if it is in order regardless of the boot loader!!!

I am not saying to re-install but you can check around to see if other w2k users have the same problem when multi booting as it may help on what you should do next..

Yes, CircleGirl is right - dual boot should be created in the order of older - newer OS installation. Here (http://www.acronis.com/support/kb/articles/637/index.html) is the article with the description.
