installed ESET smart security 4 business edition and VPN now fails

has anyone had this issue...i dont see anywhere i can allow VPN access in the remote admin console or in the setup in the Smart Security running on the server its self on . when trying to connect via VPN it doesnt even make it to the verify the usename and password before I get an error.

Are you positive that you have created the appropriate rules to allow VPN? With default automatic mode VPN shouldn't work. Maybe you could try switching the firewall to learning mode for a while.
