Hello jeffshead,

Did you have any prior AV?

Please contact Customer Care (http://www.eset.com/support/contact.php) and submit a SysInspector (http://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN762).

Thank you,
Richard

The latest version is 4.0.424. I'd suggest you give it a try to see if the problem persist. Does the GUI starts normally? I.e. does the splashscreen appears on startup and disappears after 2-5 seconds?
