I have a DLink DNS323 (RAID1) and am concerned that it may be on the verge of failure. It is still working but is acting a bit strange.
What is the best way to recover data from the hard drive(s) if the DNS323 Server hardware fails (Assuming that I do not get a replacement DNS323)?
I assume that one option is move one of the hard drives to a External Enclosure (USB2.0). Use Puppy Linux (Live) on one of my Windows XP PC's to copy the files to either an internal hard drive or another External Hard Drive.
I have limited experience with Linux. Is there a Windows program which allows access to hard drives which are formatted EXT3?
Thank you.
