start windows in safe mode

whenever i on my pc i got an safe mode screen. without pressing F8 button.
The screen shows:

Start windows in safe mode
Start command prompt in safe mode

everyone know that what the option safe mode screen show.

while Returnil protection is on , i shutdown my pc properly then why i got this window.

Please describe exactly what happens and when it happens. Also include the exact text of any/all error messages.

When the Advanced boot options menu appears, is Start Windows normally an option?

This happen Past 1 week. when i on my pc the safe mode screen will come, i select Start Windows Normally Option the windows starts as usual no other error will come.

My research so far is showing this may be related to two different situations that are not RVS related:

1) Multi-boot XP/Vista setup
2) Harware issues

For the first, there are indications that issues can arise when you install XP first in the multi-boot configuration. Is this a possible scenario here?

The second issue may be due to failing or bad hardware. Two scenarios I have come across suggest that a CMOS needing replacement (is getting long in the tooth) or a wireless card issue (one report detailed an issue with a Presario system where the user toggled the wireless off and the issue stopped) can cause this.

Can you investigate these and see if they have relevance in your situation?

Thank you mike for your suggestion

1. I installed only XP with SP2 on my system
2. I have wireless modem

Now the problem solved. i stopped RVS and i defragment my C:\ drive , after defragmentiing i enabled RVS .Now windows starts normally the safe mode screen will not come.

So strange. Defragmentation solves this problem? I dont understand Moon and brothers.

Defragmentation of the hard drive allows Returnil to work more efficiently with the resulting performance benefits. In bell2009's case, the fragmentation on the System Partition must have been extreme enough for Windows itself to have issues booting normally.

I have always avoided defragging when returnil is on the partition because I believed in the opposite of your recommendation-- much tanks for the clarification.

Hi Beto,
Do not defrag your System Partition with Returnil protection on. The suggestion is for pre-install or after a time where you may have made allot of changes to the real disk with RVS protection off.
