View Full Version : Recommendations to secure this Laptop

Ok, just acquired another Laptop...

Windows XP Pro sp2
Pentium M 2.10 Ghz.
2 GB RAM

Will be using TrustConnect to secure wifi. Open to suggestions for everything else. :-\ Thanks!

If you are happy with the security setup you have on your present computer just run the same setup on the laptop.

Well, you simply have too many running apps. Cut it down.

OA is enough alone
DW is enough alone
PrevX is enough alone
A2 could well be used on-demand only...

I agree with Lucy. Running all the apps in your siggy is overkill unless your going into a warzone. Even then, a conflict may be going on without your knowledge which could result in less protection.

I have no idea of your knowledge level but I suggest getting to know the apps you currently have. Better yet, assess your risks and possible infection vectors and come up with a plan.
