can i use f-prot for dos on win 98 se ?

Overall F-Prot for DOS is an excellent choice as a backup scanner to your main AV.

u mean that f-prot is only an on demand scanner and does not have resident protection

Correct. F-Prot for DOS has no "on access" scanning.

F-Prot for dos has no resident protection but F-Prot for Windows does and will work nicely on just about any machine. :)
