On this page (http://www.exn.ca/nerds/20000504-55.cfm) some virus history.
IBM has a usefull page (http://www.research.ibm.com/antivirus/timeline.htm) (although it handles virusses until 1996)

First companies: IBM, MacAfee, Digital Dispatch, Iris.
Virus Bulletin must know more, since they started way back in 1990.

ESET, producer of NOD32 has been founded in 1992, but even before 1992 there has been NOD antivirus on the market. Original NOD was produced by ATA konzorcium Trnava somewhere between 1986-1988.
