Hello, I would like to know if anyone has experience pushing out installs over a VPN from the console? I think we are getting timeout problems and the installs never complete. The error is "server could not retrieve installation status within the timeout". Is there a way to increase the console timeout so we do not get this, or is there a better way that ESET recommends to install over a VPN?

I have done it, with the smaller 2.7 clients..worked fine. I think a lot of your experience on this will depend on how well your VPN is setup, and speed of your VPN connections and appliance,and name resolution.

A couple alternative options....

1. See page 10 in the RA Manual

2. If you upload the .msi installer to a site like megaupload.com (example only)

You can e-mail your users the configuration file (.xml).

Place the installer and file in the same folder. Run the installer and it should import the .xml file. Just a thought....
