View Full Version : ERAS 4.x?

Hello,

Am I correct that the ERAS v3.0.105 contains the version 3.x AV engine, as far as providing AV protection for the ERAS server itself is concerned?

In other words... I do NOT want to install any v3 engine (due to really bad experience with it when it first came out) on my Domain Controller, which I want to use for the ERAS.

So, am I correct that I need to wait for a v4.x version of the ERAS if I don't want the v3.x engine on my DC?

Nope, ERAS itself didn't had an own engine.

You can also manage NOD V2 and V4 with ERAS 3 (including mirrors for these versions)

Ummm... ok, just to be clear...

With the enterprise instructions, it says to install the ERAS and the ERAC, but NOTHING about an EAV or ESS client...

But you are saying that neither of these (ERAS/ERAC) actually provide AV protection for the machine they are installed on? That I would then also have to install a version of either EAV or ESS client s/w?

I'm assuming this CHANGED since the old 1.x version of the RAS/RAC, where one of the server components also provided the AV protection for the RAS?

If so, it would be nice if the instructions actually mentioned that after you have installed the ERAS/ERAC, you might want to install either the EAV or ESS client too.
