I was happily working away on my PC when the red message saying "Undocumented Serious Error (0x101a) popped up from NOD32's position in the notification area.

When I opened NOD32 and looked at "Update.." the error message was there, adding that the virus signature database could not be updated...

I tried manually updating, but it refused (adding the above error message again).

Restarting the PC sorted it out, but in many years of using NOD32 I've never seen this before. Can anyone throw any light on it?

Eset is aware of the problem. A fix should be present in the next release of version 4.

I have V3 and am just receiving this error. I hope there's a fix for it in this version as well. The yellow Eset eye on my taskbar makes me sad panda :(

This is what the log file says...

Yes, as I said in my initial post, I'm on V3 too. It might suggest it's a problem with the update itself?

So far, the problem hasn't repeated on the PC on which it occurred, and it hasn't occurred on my laptop also running version 3.
