I want to put an antivirus on a drive separate from my OS drive so I can freeze the OS drive. I need an antivirus that will not make changes to the registry because the changes made will disappear on reboot. Sorry for the confusing request.
Any replies will be appreciated.

Judging from the lack of replies. I guess it is not possible.
Thanks anyway :)

If you're referring to an AV running on-access in real time then the answer is no,however you could always use a portable AV for on demand scans which will leave the system drive untouched.

Thanks. I was looking for an antivirus that runs all the time (guard) that makes no changes to the registry other than the initial install. I guess I will relegate myself to an on demand scan and an outbound firewall. Thanks again for the reply.

Well running your system virtualised,in Returnil for example will allow you to run an AV on-access while all changes to the registry will disappear on reboot.
