Erasing CD-RW

How secure is it to full erase a CD-RW with software like ROXIO? Is CD-RW more or less vulnerable than a hard drive?

Full erase implies that the drive actually erases every spot on the disk, although if I wanted to be sure the previous data were completely gone (short of microwaving) I'd write a disk image that occupied the entire capacity of the CD-RW.
