just wondering why dllhost.exe runs after every signature update? is there anyway to prevent it from starting, or to make it close when it's finished what it's doing?

I think it may be launched when NOD32 is checking for OS updates. Try disabling that update check and see if it works. I'm not at home right now to test it myself.

thanks spidey - that worked!
for those with the same problem, it's in
setup > advanced setup > tools > system updates > select no updates
thanks again!

What you consider a "problem" I consider a solution, I want it on.

it is a good idea, but it's redundant in the sense that if you have automatic updates on these are downloaded anyway - there seems little point in having something else do it.
