Do you think the folks over at Avira ever get bored with all these excellent results they get?:P

Not if you are using Avira. :D

What interested me was the fact that there was no need for heuristics from Avira.I haven't read the full report to know how old this malware set was but they're obviously doing something right.;)

I invite antivirus vendors to join my testing platform. Before they offically agree to take part in, I will not add them into the testing list.

GDATA had accepted our invitation of joining the testing and they will appear in the new test of March.

I will send my invitation again to BD and AVAST and I will wait for their information:)

And you can find the info about the malware set in the 2nd page:)

Well thankfully this time poor Avira won't have to face someone's wraith hopefully for winning again. ;D

Can you also post your link towards the tests on malwarecity forum ( http://forum.malwarecity.com/ ) with the explanation why BitDefender is not in the tests ?
Maybe you will make them accept the invitation ;D

We hope- but then again, it is fun for some to continue to promote AVs that have either withdrawn from most tests and/or perform poorly on tests where they still participate.

Avira has an unrivaled record of achievement- and for some, that is something they cannot stand.

We do not force AV vendors to take part in our testings. Whether to join or not is their choice and we will not test the products without some kind of agreement;D

BTW, you are so cute and have a nice day:)

Have you invited FRISK/F-PROT?

2 things are out of the ordinary, 1 100% detectionrate has never been seen on a test before from an anti-virus 2 how come so few false positives overall?

Whoa! Wilders-love-match.com :-* ha!

Good to see the second lot of testing. Well done to Avira, Kaspersky and Panda.

Agree, 100% is rare, the AVira9 is even better on heuristics

see my little not statistical relevant test with Avira9 beta http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showpost.php?p=1400544&postcount=9

What about CIS, could that be included also?

Cheers

Hmmm don't you know Avira is rubbish really, they just get to peek at the malware samples before each test.:P

so there really is a golden bullet that provides 100 percent protection and no false positives. Knew it all the time.;D

Believe it or not, a few on this board have basically argued that because their AV had lousy test scores and Avira just had to be cheating. Helps when you know what's coming! :D

Hello trjam

You are right!
We have not enough sample, and clean sample not test in dynmaic.
So,Avira no any false positives,if clean sample test with dynmaic.
I don't think so, Avira no any false positives.

;D

Yet another fanboy ridden thread full of we love Avira /sigh

Then I suggest you either

#1 Read it until you understand my point
#2 follow these steps: http://www.learnenglish-a-z.com/

At some point you will turn around and realize there is 0 talk about the results of other vendors, how good they are, why they failed, why the succeeded, where they can improve. Infact it's just one big "we love avira" thread. Nothing educational in this thread at all. Not even any proper debate.

My question remains unanswered.

Of course not........all us Avira users and fanboyz are uneducated fools. We are so elated in our exuberance on Avira that we totally loose the focus on the other vendors( loosers ).

I was expecting something like this to be your reply, you can be sarcastic all you want but you just portrayed the first page of this thread.
