Oh it is cool, and handy should you be dealing with either a blown burner or one of them eeepc's. The more options the better.

Also I find LiveCDs run much quicker from USB Flash.
I partition my USB stick so that I have a big data partition and a small partition for LiveCDs at the end (this is cool because Windows fails to see more than the first partition).
