hello
i'm using 'ext2 ifs drive' (http://www.fs-driver.org/) to mount my linux folders under windows for backup purpose
but
since i reinstalled returnil i have a blue screen each time returnil try to mount its virtual partition
the message I receive is : ifsmount.sys error
there's a conflict between returnil driver and the ifs driver
anyone knows a trick to be able to mount returnil partition while using 'ext2 ifs' ?
thanks
running winxp sp3

Hello anthon and welcome :)
Please take me through what happened and when it happened. Be as detailed as possible and post the exact text of the BSOD.
Thanks
Mike

Hello Coldmoon
thanks for the fast reply
I'm using a driver to mount ext2 file system on winxp
It's name is 'Ext2 IFS'
It can automatically mount ext2/ext3 file systems and you can find them in your system like any other drive
So I was installing Returnil personal , at the end of the installation process, returnil create a virtual file system
when this file is created Returnil ask if I want to mount it
at this moment I had a blue screen telling me my ext2 application just crashed :
a blue screen with the usual microsoft message and an " ifsmount.sys error" i can't remember the exact message
ifsmount.sys is one the driver used by my 'Ext2 IFS" application to mount linux partitions
I guess this Ext2 IFS application tried to mount the freshly new created 'returnil virtual file system' and there was a conflict between the 2 applications which gave me a BSOD.
So I fixed my problem :
+ uninstalling this "Ext2 IFS" application
+ then a reboot
+ mounted the virtual file system in Returnil and checked the automount tab
+ installation of Ext2 IFS application
at the next reboot :
+ no BSOD
+ ext2 file system mounted,
+ returnil file system mounted
My problem is solved but I think I've found a little problem at the end of the installation process between Returnil 'virtual auto mount file system process' and others applications which also auto mount foreign file systems.
thanks

Please try the current 2.0.1 Beta version and let me know if the issue remains.

Sorry for the delay in my reply.
I've installed the 2.0.1 beta version with no problem at all, rebooted, all is fine.
Great update !
But I guess I must wait for the final release before seeing a free version popping ?
I only found the premium release of this beta.
thanks for that very interesting application you have developed
