I downloaded Returnil and installed it today based on what I read here and in other threads on this forum and I must say I am very happy with the program. It was a snap to install and the documentation was clear as a bell. I have used the program a number of times today while I tested a number of downloaded programs and the PC was returned flawlessly back to its original state once I was finished. Talk about fast, I had been using GoBacks Safe Try mode for this sort of thing and have know GoBack to take 15 plus min to get ST mode up and running. I occasionally did not bother with ST mode when testing because I could not stand the idea of possibly having to wait forever while GB got ST mode up and running. Real nice program, highly recommended.

PS edit: I downloaded the free version but I suspect that I will upgrade sooner rather than later. Once I have used it a bit more I will let you know if there is anything else I would like the program to be able to do. Thanks again for this excellent tool (and no, I am not associated with the publishers in any way).

Mr Coldmoon,my experience sofar with Returnil is that with memory cache use the system is snappier.And safer also i guess because i can figure that there is no write access to disk (no container) so anything happen in memory and with a reboot everything is gone,its just like a Ramdisk,really no traces left behind.
My security setup is with SBIE in RamDisk and an underlying Rturnil session with memory cache,its the ultimate secure delete i can think off.

I am using the premium version and it is invincible to all malware in my experience (and I have been reckless and bold in my wanderings on the web, going into the Belly of the Beast , and believe me it is chock full of OS killers [XP in my case] except for the 'nice program' Returnil that gives me the "cloak of invisibility" --so to say).

For those of us that use XP it is an absolute necessity trumping updates and service packs (even though I do recommend being up to date Windows wise).

I have used the beta version with SP2 only and have yet to lose the battle to any form of malware.

While I am fully patched SP3,I agree with what you say.
With returnil,I do feel pretty
much MSPSS, or Mongolian Snuff Porn Site Safe.
