Files managed w/File Manager return to RETURNIL state

I've configured files/folders to be updated via RETURNIL's file manager. When the system is rebooted any modification to these files/folders disappear. What could be happening? I'd expect these excluded files/folders to reflect any changes made.

RVS uses an inclusive approach rather than to exclude the files and folders you add to the File Manager list. So this means that you have to purposely select the items to be saved and then click the "Update selected" link at the bottom of the list window. To do this:

1) Open the File Manager
2) Use the disk browsing buttons to the immediate right. One will browse your files and the other will browse your folders.
3) Add selected files and folders you wish to save to disk frequently
4) When you are ready to save one, some, or all of the items in your list, use your mouse to check the box to the immediate left of the list item
5) When satisfied with your choices, click the "Update selected" link at the bottom of the list window and the files will be saved.

For things you do not save frequently, you can use more convenient methods by:

1) Right click the file or folder and select "Commit selected to the real system"
2) Drag the file and/or folder over your Returnil Tool bar and then release your mouse key to "drop" them onto the Tool bar

I did indeed follow the step you listed and did several tests. Nevertheless files, which should have been excluded from protection (i.e. Desktop, My Documents) vanished after reboot. I've been using (V2.0.0.2507 and V2.0.1.8510)

My exported exclusion file:

The File Manager is an inclusion list, did you add the files, then check the box to the immediate left side to select the item, and then clicked the Update Selected link?

When right-clicking (Commit selected to the Real System) the files are excluded from protection, as expected. Excluding it in the file list though makes it vanish after reboot.

Please do this again, but post here your exact steps. Please include all steps from opening the RVS GUI through after you restart the computer and check the status of the files you were attempting to include in the real system.

- Returnil ON
1) Open Returnil Console
2) Open Returnil File Manager
3) Deselect all folders previously imported from list
4) Select All
5) Update selected (Saving appears and files wiz by)
6) Create marker folder with win filemanager (on in Desktop the other in My Documents)
7) Create 2nd set of Markers with RIght click commit
8) Restart System

After restart BOTH Marker Folders are gone

Scratch step 7, I forgot to commit the 2nd marker via right-click
