View Full Version : Help With Unallocated Space

Basically I want to move that 30gb of unallocated space to my C: drive, but I've had no luck. I've got the boot cd aswell. Can anyone help me please? thanks in advance.

Use the boot CD for best results any time that you need to modify the Windows system partition. Here is how to proceed:

1. Boot the recovery version of DD from your CD. Choose either version (full or safe). Safe version is perfectly fine for modifying an internal disk.
2. When DD starts, choose Manual mode
3. Right-click on the FAT32 partition and choose "Resize"
4. Point to the center of the graphic. Click and drag the partition contents to the right so that the 30 GB of unallocated space moves to the left of the FAT32 partition
5. Click on the checkered flag to commit
6. Right-click on your Windows C: partition and choose "Resize"
7. Point to the right border of the partition and drag the slider to the right until there is no unallocated space either before or after the partition.
8. Click on the checkered flag to commit
9. Reboot into Windows.
