I love the "Details" view in Windows XP.
The columns are absolutely vital to the way I work.
But I hate the small icon sizes in "Details" view.
I'd like to increase them to 48x48.
Hours of googling produced a crappy solution.
In the registry, you edit the "Shell Small Icon Size".
Problem is, this causes the icons in other areas (like the address bar & other software) to over-expand.
Hence, this method is pretty useless.
I have two angles on this...
1) Is there any way to ISOLATE & increase the "Details" view icon size?
Perhaps a unique registry entry.
2) Is there a way to detach the "Shell Small Icon Size" from the "Details" view?
Instead, you could attach it to the "Large Icons" desktop value.
Either way, we'd prevent legitimate small icons (like the address bar & toolbars) from expanding.
While allowing an increase in the "Details" view icon size.
