The TCP/IP connection was unexpectely terminated by the server error message when trying to connect to newsgroup server news-server.neo.rr.com. This is the correct format for the server name. No password is required. This is a generic connection. I can connect ok to microsoft communities. It uses the same port of 119 to connect. My ISP Road Runner states it is security software issue. All posts on Microsoft communities (Using IE7) points to security software issue. I am trying to access news server using Microsoft Mail and or Microsoft Live Mail. Live Mail is now the prefered mail program per Microsoft. I have done multiple tweaks in both apps with no success.

What in ESET Security Suite would control this port or connection to news servers? What do I need to tweak or adjust?

FYI.....Microsoft Communities was wrong. This is not an ESET error. The message is being generated because Road Runner shut down its news server. No server equals "The TCP/IP connection was unexpectely terminated by the server"

Rock on ESET
