I have one problem with Virus Bulletin. Go to their Home page and in the lower left conner you will find three sponsers who all have very good records in their tests. Very interesting :o

Virus Bulletin is the only professional information source about computer viruses. The magazin is published since 1989 and since than nearly everybody who has a name in the antivirus research community has written for this magazin. Would these people write for a magazin who is faking tests?

BTW Just to feed your conspiracy thesis. The VB editoral staff is sharing their offices with Sophos. :)
