I installed it a year ago and I have always liked it. Fast and effective.

I have problems with the new beta when you are trying to copy >1GB og many files at the same time. Then it crashes. So I am using 1.22 on my Windows Vista. And it works but it is not as fast as 2.0.

You may also want to try FastCopy (http://www.ipmsg.org/tools/fastcopy.html.en). In head to head comparisons, FastCopy is faster than TeraCopy (although the interface isn't as nice looking).

Thanks fastcopy is nice .But shell integration of Teracopy is important for me.

Does it completely replace Windows' copy functionality? - i.e., if I copy & paste a file (by dragging the file to the destination folder), which copy will be used?

Tera copy will be used , hence it will replace windows copy for good.;)

raakii,

FastCopy integrates into the shell, as long as you run the setup program and not just run FastCopy directly.

Just curious. Does anyone other than me experience problems with TeraCopy 2.0 beta 4 while copying many files or many GB's? If I copy many files it crashes. I will try BETA 3 because I used that before and I can't remember I did crash when I tried to copy many files.

No problem for me as of now.

Shell integration is obviously for installation setup not for the portable one.

Nice looking app but when I tested it, it wasn't any faster than Windows built-in copy routines.

I didn't test the speed actually (sorry I neglected to mention that). My reasons for using this are for other functionality missing in XP. For example, I don't like how XP copy/move jobs halt on an error.

Some things I like about Copy Handler:
-can resume partially completed file copy/move
-can change the priority of a copy/move job
-can pause and resume copy/move jobs independently of one another
-can replace Explorer's copy/move handling
-is an active project
-works with Vista
-can resume a copy/move job when you restart the operating system
-there is a queue for copy/move jobs, so not all jobs need to execute at the same time
-mini status window showing copy/move job progress
-very configurable
