How to find the type of wireless conection?

Hello, I bougth a Sony Vaio laptop and I need to get a wireless router but I dont know which one I need (N) or (G)? The system its Vista

I would Go with the N router even if your laptops supports G the router should be backwards compatiable and work.If you have the N adapter card already even better for performance.
