After having installed XP Pro x64 I would like to now install XP Pro 32bit onto a second partition of the same HDD. The recommended procedure is to install the oldest OS first, in this case being XP 32bit. My query is, if I install XP 32bit onto the second partition with Xp x64 on the first, will Acronis OS Selector enable OS selection without any scenarios. Are there any special considerations to take into account before proceeding ? Normally boot.ini would be messed up in such a situation. TIA

You don't have to worry too much about the order of XP installations as long as the new partition is Active and the old one is hidden when you do the install (XP's installer should detect the destination partition as C: if it's correct). I prefer to deactivate OSS prior to doing a manual install, but you can install through OSS if it works on your computer.

Take a look at this thread (http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=184005) for the general idea.
