I believe it was 2.7.2 The 2.7.2.1 is New,but I am going to assume its the exspanded license renew and not actual a product upgrade since the license was expiring 12/08.Perhaps I am assuming wrong though.

This license expiration thing, is the most absurd policy i could think of. It's the reason i don't even bother trying it anymore.

Well, at least PG Free didn't expire, ever!

Those over there at Geswall, are simply too weird for me to understand.

For me, the price of the professional version compared to other sandboxes/HIPS, has always seemed high; particularly with the current currency turmoil.

Well, it is a one-time fee though.

But apart from the very high one-off payment ( additional again if a major upgrade comes along) there is also the annual subscription fee for the application database update service and support.

My main point is that Gentle Security may attract more customers if the original price was a little lower and therefore comparable to similar security software.

Maybe a special Holiday price then I may be tempted.

In fact they did change their price policy. I registered the prof version in 2006 and I got a life-time licence then.

However, they have a limited time offer now - 15% off the price.

Perhaps it is a more reasonable buy.
