I have just tried to install it on one of vmware machine where I trying Malware Defender, Disabled MD unload it and just touched EQ Sec 4.1 to see if it gives option for English installation and it gives me error window which I doubt it is even on Chinese (maybe corrupted download), will try it latter on clean system (see pic)

BTW. I found changelog (translated with google)

2: increase in the exclusion list, and enhance compatibility.
3: Repair the driver a number of issues, to strengthen stability.
4: Rules Editor can be added to the rules of the trust.

Yep, this new version is definitively in Chinese.
You need to extract the executable with Universal Extractor, remove the .tmp extensions, overwrite the files in your 3.41 folder (EQS must be closed)
and install Chinese PRC:

Looks like Easter blocked himself from accessing their home page with all of the security he uses:). Guess the culprit may easily be that secret line of code inserted in Alcyon's EQS ruleset;).
I went back to V3 some time ago after not being entirely satisfied with V4, but still cannot block myself from checking their website at times (as couple of the most persistent ones too:dry:), hopping they might have stopped giving the rest of the world unexplainable "silent treatment" regarding English lng support, etc..
Seems like that will never happen...

Using EQSecure v4.1 Plus is a pretty enjoyable experience until you enable "Access to physical memory". Once activated, even with "Prompt and allow", EQS will make Windows freeze for unknown reasons. Also, there's a problem with the tray icon contextual menu and the EQSysSecure.xml file inside the main executable is once again incomplete:

Like i said, it's unstable, the xml language file is incomplete and there's nothing i can do about it yet. A GUI in Chinese and English isn't very interesting.

Sandbox was introduced in first "mutation" of V4, but from that time they only managed to make it less attractive for the non-Chinese-speaking people with each new version! The last one I tried was so called Beta2, and though I liked the added protection (e.g. raw disk), it was pretty buggy for my taste, while V3 always worked exceptionally!

And since this is like 3rd or 4th version without included English translation it looks like it would be fair to say that we won't see one ever.. Maybe we could sign a petition, 10-15 signatures we could easily collect should be more than enough to make them reconsider their corporate policy:)

We've been tasked with a mutated ("incomplete") EQS b4 but unfortunately looks like this stalling just might be another driver issue somewhat like i experienced with it's predecessor release that was too painfully slow to get some real use with 4 me, one of them anyway. Maybe memory leak also, we'll have to see what shakes out further. We'll have to wait N see if they release another more stable driver release. Anyone program/edit drivers here? ???

We are gonna need to solicit as many sigs as possible in order for the petition to get any attention from them i think, then it's as good a guess as any if it will be serious considered let alone implimented given the cold shoulder treatment of recent months.

Beats me why they would charge into here like gangbusters, release and promote this great HIPS then suddenly cease even posting after that, because they have to know they still have rabid supporters of it, like me for one. :P

Attached is included English.zip (renamed to txt due to wilders limitations) with the files that could be used for automated translations, but that was the thing that we already knew, and were already doing..

Anyway, looks like there's a bit of innuendo here, and I must take liberty to ask this (though I'm still thankful for this great and FREE software, of course) - how hard and time consuming can it be to do google translation and include those files in the installer yourself?! Let's be realistic, it really shouldn't take more than finally putting this mail together and sending it to couple of mail addresses...

Therefore IMO their answer should read "no we won't be supporting English speaking users anymore - period". It's a shame though, since this particular forum can provide the best possible user feedback any security software developer can even hope for!

I've not ben able to get very far with 4.1 magic shield so untill something earth shattering surfaces i think 4. beta 3 with Alcyon's Rules is sufficient enough. It's pretty tough all in all and in my personal opinion they could have left the sandbox out of it and done more in other areas because SandboxIE is da' bomb in sandboxes anyway.

Didn't help here either. They,ve deliberately made it so english users can't get a grip on it. It's beyond me why because theres been plenty of supporters behind them in the english reading world.

What throws me is why they even bothered to tease us like this with all those preliminary series of releases only to suddenly cut us out completely at the end.

PS. My native language is not english nor chinese, so there can be errors in translation and spelling. Sorry.

PPS. IMO this version have no significant advantages over previous versions.

According to Chinese forums this seems to be the so called "Green Version", a light version of EQS.

There is only one mode available, the "Basic Mode".

I find MD's file and folder rules to be much configurable than EQs file and folder rules. And I can't see there being and EQS english version for Windows 7. So I say stick with MD.

Basic, and not full english translated.
Details of its configuration only throught log viewer clicking right from the prompts.
Attempts net conection when is started.
I'm thinking this version is primary designed for retrieve user behaviour data with apps blocked or allowed, than others (CIS, cloud's,...), but just only my thoughts.
I like password protected, easy "on the fly" enabled/disabled protections, sandbox, but difficults some configurations because no direct access to protections settings from the main window.
I'll stay out of this vers by the moment, some time and....perhaps we'll get a more configurable version full translated. Time to see it, but seems something is moving in the right direction. (crossed fingers)
