I always spoil the party ...;D but ESET NOD32 Antivirus 3.0.672 would have done the same as v4 beta . The results on this test with 5 samples only would have been the same .

Yeah according to his website, Matt says:

-{ Quote: "Also, tomorrow we'll test NOD32 4.0's detection and removal abilities." }-

Well, what can I say... Matt tested detection and removal ability of NOD32 v4 beta on a infected pc and it passed the test awesomely good.
If you can recall v3.0 didn't do so well in that test, so this new beta sure looks promising no doubt about it. :thumb:

Here's the link to that test, it's part 3, after he's done updating NOD32 and starting the initial scan (standard scan), just to see how clean the machine is afterwards:

Yea impressive performance by NOD32 V4. It looks like it finally killed the tough Qhost infection too( stopped spitting up the alerts about it after killing it through the on demand scan). Way to go Eset!

Perhaps the new ESET Helper driver did the trick .

Good job testing matt. Eset continues its excellence,However I believe V3 would have same results.

For detection your probably right, they woulda been the same. But removal is way better in V.4, the virtumonde dll's wouldn't have been killed with V.3
