The word of a December 4 public beta release officially came from Microsoft Corp. Vice President Mike Nash at 4:23 pm this afternoon, moments after our story about rumors of a Q1 2009 beta release went live.
"Beginning Thursday Dec. 4th, we will be making the Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2 Beta available to everyone through a Customer Preview Program (CPP)," Nash wrote. "The CPP will launch on TechNet and be available to anyone interested in trying out this service pack."" }-Story (http://www.betanews.com/article/Microsoft_Vista_SP2_Windows_Server_SP2_betas_Thursday/1228250901)

If anyone that installs this.....could you please let me know if its possible to uninstall.
I don't want to reload an old image when the rtm comes out. I can't install it, if I can't remove it, to go rtm when it comes out.

I had to replace my motherboard recently and don't know if the imaging apps I have will work with it. I haven't formatted since about may or june of 07 when I got Vista Business. I can't take a chance with not being able to restore an image.
/end off topic :P

I have just installed it in about 30 minutes and I have not noticed any difference in common operations and it still looks like Vista. ;D

I didn't notice much difference too. Hopefully, the final version will improve the performance a little bit more.
