Selecting files to restore from tree

Using ATI 9.0 bld 3854, WIndows XP home.
I backup entire C drive to external HD (F drive) no problem. Thought I would try to restore a file from ATI program and opened it and selected a file to restore, highlighted it but file selected was not shown in lower window. Am I missing a step ?
Also the log file show no activity. If I go to "my computer" and open it show F drive and open it all files that I have "cloned" are there.

The version 9 is an older version so its difficult to remember all its functions. If you right click on your *.tib backup file, is one of options listed "mount"? If yes, this is an easy way to drag your files from backup to destination.
