Possible Error With Number of Scheduled Tasks

Number of scheduled tasks shows '5' even though only 4 tasks are checked.

As far as I remember in the beta version of v3, also had 5 tasks, but only 4 were marked.

I don't remember version 3 displaying 'Number of scheduled tasks: 5'.

4 are checked but we have 5 tasks , right ? 4 of them are active by default , the last one (Update after user logon) is inactive by default.

That's why it should read: 'Number of scheduled tasks: 4'.
4 tasks are scheduled to run, not 5. If not checked, it will NEVER run.
If I remove all the checks from the boxes, how many scheduled tasks do I have?
None or is it still 5?

Heh, this is a pretty picky issue really because in English when you say a task is scheduled it means that task is active, you shouldn't need to say number of active scheduled tasks.

BUT, in windows the whole system is generally called "Scheduled tasks" even if the task isn't active and that's been set as "the rule of the thumb".

Although I agree with the OP, it's best to just fall in line with the common of apps and show all listed scheduled tasks, even if they aren't scheduled. If it was me, I'd leave it as it is OR change it to "Active Scheduled Tasks" and only show active ones. I'd prefer the changed version.

By default, 5 tasks are active out of which 1 (log maintanance) is a hidden system task and doesn't show up until you enable the appropriate option (Setup -> Tools -> Scheduler -> Show system tasks)
