When creating a PGP key in Ubuntu (Hardy), AlGamal encryption is used.
For various reasons I have decided to use ccrypt, the small CLI utility.
But how do the encryption algorithms compare security wise ? I simply
want to encrypt files - ccrypt can encrypt files in folders recursively.
"ccrypt is based on the Rijndael block cipher
ccrypt is believed to provide very strong cryptographic security,
equivalent to that of the Rijndael cipher with 256-bit block size
and 256-bit key size."
Regards.
