Norton Internet Security 2008

I want to uninstall this software. It has a feature called identity safe, in which I store login/password information for websites I routinely visit.

I want to be sure this login/password data is shredded and not accessible again. Can anyone tell me how this confidential data is stored on my computer so I can be sure to completely shred it?
