TSR.BOOT Virus - URGENT!

Hi,

Just recentlybought a reworked old machine with full version XP Pro.
Now when I install NOD32 it alerts for MBR, physological device 1 probable TSR.Boot record (7)

What´s this and how is it possible when it´s a "new" machine that has been totally wiped by the manufacturer?

Question 2
Does this probable TSR.BOOT virus spread through network connections to other computer. When found the computer was connected to our company LAN.

Please if possible provide info, urgently
