Something recently changed on my system but I'm not sure what. I rebooted the computer, and now even though NOD32 is running, I get the security center warning that says NOD32 is reporting that it's not running. I checked the services I've got running, and the eset service is running but for whatever reason the security center isn't detecting it.

I'm running XP Pro 64 and NOD32 3.0.650.0.

See this (http://training.eset.com/kb/index.php?option=com_kb&Itemid=29&page=articles&articleid=367) tip.

That seems to have made things worse. Before it was saying that ESET NOD32 was reporting that it wasn't running, not it says that it can't detect any anti-virus software.

Try a reinstall over the top of your current version. You could also export the settings you are currently using, and try an install of the latest version which is 3.0.672.0 importing the settings you exported earlier.

This actually happened to me before. All I did was restart the computer and Windows noticed it again.
