Uninstall Fails-Says Only Valid for Installed Programs

Nod Smart Security is installed and running. I am attempting to remove it to install just the AV program. What Now, their un-install does not work, and it's not in add or remove programs. Looks like I'm HOSED!

1/ Download and install Windows Installer Cleanup utility (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301).

2/ Nuke ESS there.

3/ Reinstall ESS.

4/ Uninstall ESS.

Thanks, I'll try that. I never heard of that program. It is now part of my utility directory.
