Help - trial 2.7 not updating

Hi -

I deinstalled the trial version ov nod32 v3 because of proxy issues with ekrn.exe and outpost firewall. I am now trialing v2.7 (downloaded from Hippo).

I asked Nod32 to manually update, and ihe update tells me that I am up to date, even though the default virus version is from 2007. When I go to do a deep scan, Nod32 says virus signatures are out of date.

I must be missing something simple here

I am not sure if at all the trial version of 2.7 is supported but its updates are downloaded this way .

Like it or not , v2 is a pretty old version (which will be completely dropped early or later) , v3 is the actual version (better than v2) and ESET prepares v4 . v2 is no longer developed , just updates provided .

There are some ways to "disable" the local proxy of EAV v3 . I would also suggest that you uninstall Outpost and NOD32 and try ESET Smart Security
