Nod-32 v2.7 is no longer on my taskbar.
Even when I start nod 32 manually (ie going into C/program files/ESET control center) - nod-32 v2.7 will open up, but its icon still does not appear on the taskbar.

All threat protection modules are enabled.

My subscription does not expire until Jan next year.

I have windows XP professional, SP3, Intel 3.4 GHz.

Questions:
1. Am I still being protected?
2. How do I fix this?

Thanks.

Unsure but i would assume not (i.e. don't so anything that requires your security to be working - internet banking etc)

Uninstall / reinstall NOD?

Thanks for the replies.

I reinstalled, but without uninstalling, and now the nod-32 icon is back on the taskbar.

Hello, check if nod32krn.exe starts without problem (look to Task Manager, go to this (http://www.eicar.org/anti_virus_test_file.htm) page and test, if test infiltration will be caught). If no, ther will be problem with kernel. Then go to Start => Run => services.msc => Find out NOD32's service => Check, if his start is set up as "Automatic".
