can someone post the md5 for a copy of 2.7 they downloaded from eset.com? i want to make sure the filehippo copy is the official binary release.

when i was looking for a trial version of 2.7 somehow i didn't find my way to this web page.

Ah, that link doesn't work for trial, you need a valid login. You can only download 3.0 as trial from their homepage (http://www.eset.com/download/free_trial_download_int.php).
